WHAT IS DERMA ROLLER TREATMENT?

Derma Roller, otherwise known as Microneedling, uses a small device which holds tiny needles to cause punctures in the skin.

HOW DOES DERMA ROLLER WORK?

Derma Roller treatment causes tiny punctures to the skin as a result of the needles. This encourages the body to respond in a wound healing way by traumatising the skin. This prompts the skin to repair itself resulting in the production of new collagen and elastin whilst also generating new cells.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does Derma Roller make your skin bleed?

Due to the tiny punctures made in the skin, the derma roller causes slight bleeding. This is a very common effect of the treatment.

How often should I get Derma Roller treatment?

The frequency of treatment depends on your skin concerns and the length of the needle being used. For a 0.5mm - 0.75mm needle, we would recommend one treatment every 4-6 weeks if necessary.

How long does the treatment take?

Derma Roller can take from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the area being treated.

What will my skin look like post treatment?

Every individual reacts differently, however the most common after effect of derma roller is redness. This will usually reduce within 2 hours.

When will I see results?

Significant results can be seen up to 6 weeks later due to the natural healing process. Immediately post treatment, you may notice a slight plumpness of the skin.

What is the Aftercare?

Post Derma Roller treatment, your skin will appear to be red and flushed. An SPF should be worn daily for the first 2 weeks alongside an effective skincare regime. This is essential to ensure maximum results.

REVIEWS

"I have had many anti-aging treatments over the years but I can honestly say the one that had the biggest effect is the derma roller. Whilst it is fairly uncomfortable to have done the results are well worth it."

Jill Fosset from Bristol *

"I have had acne pits since my acne disappeared in my early twenties and this year I decided to have them treated. The therapist told me about micro-needling which seemed a bit drastic but was hopefully worth it. The results have been fantastic, with even the pigmentation having disappeared. I highly recommend the treatment."
