What Is Semi Permanent Make-Up

Semi-permanent make-up is a complexion treatment to enhance eyes, brows and lips to add definition to the face. This technique involves injecting pigment through a fine vibrating needle into the most superficial layers of the skin. A local anaesthetic cream numbs the area pre-treatment.

How Semi Permanent Make Up Work

Semi-permanent make-up is a complexion treatment to enhance eyes, brows and lips to add definition to the face. This technique involves injecting pigment through a fine vibrating needle into the most superficial layers of the skin. A local anaesthetic cream numbs the area pre-treatment.

How Does This Treatment Feel

Some clients feel no discomfort at all - others feel minimal discomfort. A topical anaesthetic is applied before and during the treatment to minimise any sensation.

Before the application, experienced practitioners numb the area and do not proceed until you feel comfortable. After the treatment, some clients feel a little discomfort and take a low dosage, common painkiller, which will do the job well for most people, and eliminate the pain.

What Areas Can Be Treated With Semi Permanent Make-Up

Eyebrows

Hair Stroke Brows - Liberate yourself from your brow pencil! Create more volume and shape in your brow with the addition of a few expertly placed natural looking hair strokes. This technique is excellent for balancing asymmetrical brows and filling in gaps leaving you with beautiful naturally shaped and full brows.

Powdered/Blended Brows - Redefine, lift and emphasise your brow with a combination of soft shading and expertly placed hair strokes. With this method, brows can be realistically re-created where they have been over-plucked or lost due to Alopecia.

Eyes

Lash Line - Make your lashes look thicker and darker with a subtle enhancement in between your lash roots.

Enviable Almond Eyes - Define and line your eyes with a sculpted eyeliner. This begins with a fine crisp line at the inner corner of the eye and widens gradually toward the outer corner.

Extreme Liner - Let your eyeliner make a statement with a high definition dramatic line of maximum thickness. Please note, thicker eyeliner will require additional treatments.

Lips

Lip liner - Restore lost definition by creating fuller and more sensual lips without need for frequent injectable fillers.

Blush - A subtle blush of colour can be added to soften and blend the lip liner into the lip creating a softer looking pout.

Full colour - Maximum definition and lustre with a full lip colour treatment.

FAQs

Please find answers to the most common questions below.

How many sessions of semi permanent makeup are required?

Generally you only need one session to reach the desired look and see the immediate results. However, depending on how intense you’d like the colour/shade or if you would like to intensify the look you may choose to have another session to top-up the makeup.

Is it painful?

Before the application, experienced practitioners numb the area and do not proceed until you feel comfortable. After the treatment, some clients feel a little discomfort and take a low dosage, common painkiller, which will do the job well for most people, and eliminate the pain.

What is the difference between microblading and permanent makeup?

Permanent make-up uses a traditional tattoo gun with a rotary and coil to draw on eyebrows.. Microblading, on the other hand, uses a small blade with many micro needles to create fine hair strokes.

How long does Semi-Permanent makeup last?

Semi permanent makeup lasts about 24 months, but its difficult to generalise because the fading process is dependent on so many variables-for instance, if you are someone who loves to tan, it's likely that your enhancement will fade faster.

We recommend that you return to refresh your enhancement every 12-15 months.

Is Semi Permanent Makeup Safe?

Absolutely. Following a code of practice that ensures your semi permanent makeup not only looks good- it's completely safe as well. Our out of house practitioner follows rigorous sterilisation and disinfection guidelines.

Will I Benefit from Semi-Permanent Makeup?

If you’re over 18 and use cosmetics it's likely you’ll benefit from the liberating pluses of wearing semi permanent makeup.

Semi permanent makeup can enhance your features with a soft natural look or be applied with the purpose of replacing makeup. You will feel flawless, look younger and save time.

It’s a convenient alternative if you have allergies to conventional makeup or you're sporty and want to look your best without worrying about your makeup smudging or sweating off.
