Ultrasonic Cavitation

What Is Ultrasonic Cavitation

Ultrasonic Cavitation is used to break apart fat cells, tighten sagging skin, reduce the appearance of cellulite, improve acne, tighten enlarged pores, fade dark eye circles and puffiness and swelling, freckles and old age spots, refines large pores and even repair scar damage.

How Ultrasonic Cavitation Works

Ultrasonic treatment uses high level sound waves to penetrate deep below the surface of the skin to: destroy fat cells, promote cellular renewal and repair, tone muscles, increase blood circulation, encourage lymphatic drainage (cleanse toxins) and improves product penetration.

The device uses low-frequency sound waves to heat and vibrate the layer of fat cells below the skin's surface causing pressure, which eventually causes the fat cells to liquify and release their contents to be eliminated safely by the body by the lymphatic system.

Ultrasonic cavitation is meant to target small areas of fat and help contour your body. It isn’t a treatment for people who are trying to lose a lot of weight.

What To Expect Ultrasonic Cavitation

During the treatment a handheld ultrasound device slowly goes over the target area of your body. You may feel a warm sensation during the procedure and hear a buzzing from the ultrasound machine. Treatments typically take between 40 minutes to an hour.

Ultrasonic cavitation is considered a low-risk treatment for most people. Common side effects include: redness and bruising. In some cases, the skin won’t absorb the fat evenly after it breaks down. Lumps and bumps on your skin can appear after treatment. These skin irregularities may be resolved by followup treatments.

After the treatment, the feeling of a swollen or puffy body is normal and bruising is minimal. Hydration is also key to help your body flush the fatty cells through your lymphatic system. It takes time for your body to break down and dissolve the fat cells that have been dislodged.

What Is Important To Know Before Treatment

Avoid drinking alcohol for at least 48 hours before your appointment.Drink plenty of water before and after your treatment so that your body can flush out fat deposits quickly.

FAQs

Please find answers to the most common questions below.

How does Ultrasonic Cavitation work?

A special treatment device is applied to the area of concern. The ultrasonic waves move through the device and penetrate deep into the skin. The shockwaves formed by the waves eliminate the fat cells in the target area. The waste is then removed naturally via the lymphatic system.

Most clients report a positive outcome, as they are able to lose fat mass and weight after several sessions. However, the results tend to vary between individuals, as each person’s body is different. Typically, clients will report a reduced circumference in the belly, arms, thighs, chest, and buttock areas.

How long will results last?

Ultrasonic cavitation is a treatment, not prevention for fat storage. Therefore, the result will last as long as you can maintain a healthy diet and a regular exercise schedule. You need to keep track of your daily caloric intake along with other nutrients so that you can come up with an exercise plan that will help to burn out all the food you’ve consumed. As long as you can maintain this schedule, you will be able to maintain a healthy and fit body.

Is it safe?

Yes this treatment is safe. It is a non surgical, non invasive treatment that requires no downtime.

How many treatments will I need?

Depending on the individual, we usually recommend at least 5 sessions once a week for maximum results.

Are there any side effects?

Other than a little redness around the localised target areas, Cavitation is completely safe with limited side-effects. Cavitation does not affect the blood vessels, nerves or connective tissue.

Will Cavitation work on loose skin and fat?

Yes, low-frequency ultrasounds will work on cellulite. However, for the best results, Cavitation is used alongside our Radio Frequency treatment. Clients will be able to lose fat while tightening the skin layers, creating a smoother and healthier looking appearance.

Who is an ideal candidate?

Patients should generally be fit and healthy and are within 10-15% of their ideal weight. Often, ideal candidates are seeking spot fat reduction in certain areas.

Patience is the key. Unlike surgical operations, results are gradual and may take several weeks.

Is Ultrasonic Cavitation available on Mytime?

Yes! It is available on our MyTime Reduce membership. From just £70.
