Acne treatments are not just for the reduction of the acne itself but  also for the reduction of scarring and pigmentation caused by the acne resulting in a smooth and flawless complexion.

Many who suffer from acne go to great lengths to rid themselves of it,  often resorting to prescribed products which can have many unsavory  side-effects. Blackheads, pimples, nodules and cysts caused by acne can vary from mild to severe, but this physical condition can have quite an impact on your self-confidence.

Many skin problems are associated with the external environment, but Acne may also be caused by hormones.

Acne is caused by a variety of factors, most notably: hormones, heredity, and stress. It occurs when overactive oil glands produce an excess of oil that combines with skin cells to plug pores. Plugged pores, in turn, cause bacteria to multiply, leading to skin breakouts.

Sun exposure can exacerbate the condition. It dries the skin, which may initially clear up acne, but also stimulates the sebaceous glands to produce more oil. This causes acne to reoccur, and more severely than before.

What is involved in treating ACNE?

There are a number of simple steps to helping a patient get rid of their acne concerns

Treating acne and the subsequent issues that having acne creates is a simple three step process:

  1. Re-balance the skin’s oil production and kill the bacteria within your skin
  2. Stimulate collagen and elastin production to remove your acne scarring
  3. Resurface the skin to remove acne pigmentation and bring life & luminosity back to your skin

"I had acne throughout my teenage years and into my twenties. I became very depressed to the point that I didn't go out much and when I did I covered my face in makeup. After an Acne Consultation at Beautology with Sam I had a course of 3 laser treatments. My acne has gone and my life is back. I wish I'd come years ago."
