The team at the Beautology Clinic at Westbury Park in Bristol are experts in treating Warts and Verrucas.
If you have warts or verrucas and just can't get rid of them with conventional home care products or treatments, then the Beautology's wart and verruca treatment range is what you need!
Warts are small, benign growths caused by a viral infection of the skin or mucous membrane. The virus infects the surface layer. The viruses that cause warts are members of the human papilloma virus (HPV) family. Warts are not cancerous but some strains of HPV, usually not associated with warts, have been linked with the cancer formation. Warts are contagious from person to person and from one area of the body to another part of the same person.
Verrucas are a common complaint amongst children. A verruca is a small skin lesion which is commonly found on the bottom surface of the foot. The lesion is usually approximately 1cm in diameter but can be larger. They appearance is similar to corns but are more superficial in depth.
The surface of the verruca is covered with black dots that are small blood vessels that feed the verrucae. The colour is usually paler than the usual tone of the skin. Verrucas are usually surrounded by hard skin and will not be well circumscribed.
Understanding the causes of these pigmentation concerns can help you take proactive steps in maintaining healthier and clearer skin.
"I have been plagued by verrucae for years, and it was not until I went to the doctors who referred me to Beautology did I get relief. A consultation and one treatment was enough to get rid of them and they have not come back! Thank God."
